There are many ways to participate in this treasured Lakewood tradition.

Participate in the Parade

• Decorate bikes, scooters, golf carts, or build a float
• Dress in your most patriotic red, white, and blue
• Walk the route with friends and neighbors
• Watch the parade from one of the many gathering locations along the parade route
• Enter the Float Competition
• 1st place winner will receive $1,500 and the prestigious Jenn & Vickie Thompson Heart of Lakewood Trophy.
• 2nd place will receive $1,000; and
• 3rd place will receive $500, along with the respect of the entire neighborhood!

This parade is truly “by the neighborhood, for the neighborhood.”

Run the Fun Run

Help warm up the parade route by participating in the annual 1.2-mile Fun Run beginning at 8:00 AM on July 4th at the corner of Lakewood Blvd. and Cambria Blvd.

Volunteer

It takes a village to bring the parade to life. From logistics and decorations to candy and safety support, every detail is handled by the Lakewood Neighborhood Association and parade volunteers.
